Generating Fashion: Toile dev 2

Last week I made the decision to make a jacket as my final garment with the additional features of the ‘vertebrae’ detail incorporated into the design. So this weeks workshop was about taking the components from my previous toile workshop and figuring out a toile that is closer to a real garment.
As a solution, I decided to make a fitted base to which I can later attach the vertebrae shape. For this part, Robin helped me to alter a bodice block so that the seams join together on either side of the body as an additional design detail.

Once I had finalised the pattern pieces it was just a case of sewing it up in calico so that I would have base on which to attach my additional components.
